The Sandra Day O'Connor Institute presented its annual History Dinner at the Arizona Biltmore. This year, "Dinner With Jefferson" was the theme with Pulitzer Prize winner and Presidential historian Jon Meacham as the featured guest speaker.

Guests dined on a menu inspired by Thomas Jefferson with cuisine he discovered while serving as Minister to France, and had his  Monticello cooks trained in the French manner.

Jon Meacham spoke about the revered Founding Father and guests were given a signed copy of his # 1 Bestseller, Thomas Jefferson:  The Art of Power. Following his remarks, Meacham joined Senator Jon Kyl for a Monticello parlor conversation which provided even greater insight about Jefferson.

During the evening, the O'Connor Institute presented Jon Meacham with its "Spirit of Democracy" award for his body of work in educating citizens about our nation's history.
