Sandra Bierman grew up in Paradise Valley, Arizona. She obtained her B.A. from Northwestern University in 1989 and her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 1993.

Sandra returned to Arizona in 1996 to become an Associate General Counsel by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) and was later promoted to her current position of Vice President, Legal Services. She has led many significant projects and implementation teams throughout her career and currently plays a key role in leading the BCBSAZ Legal and Privacy teams.

Sandra previously served on the boards of the Arizona Town Hall and Waste Not, an organization dedicated to assisting individuals with food insecurity. A patron of numerous animal charities, she enjoys traveling with husband Robert Bierman, M.D., and spending time with family and two Corgis, Barron and Chloe.
